Tragic Road Accidents in Karnataka Claim 12 Lives Across Multiple Districts
Bengaluru: In a series of heartbreaking road accidents across Karnataka, a total of 12 individuals lost their lives, with incidents reported in Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Ramanagara, and Mangaluru.
The first incident occurred late Thursday night in Kuntoshi village, Muddebihal taluk, Vijayapura, where four young men tragically died during a reckless bike-wheeling stunt. The victims—Ningaraj Chaudhary (22), Anil Khainoor (23), Udaykumar Patthi (19), and Rayappa Bagewadi (24)—were involved in the dangerous activity when two riders and two bystanders were fatally injured. Three others were reported to be in critical condition.
In another unfortunate accident in Ramanagara district, a collision between a truck and a motorcycle near Mayaganahalli village resulted in the deaths of three men: Gurumurthy (39), Sheikh Asif (45), and Venkatesh (50). Two of the victims died at the scene, while the third succumbed to injuries while being transported to the hospital.
Bagalkot also saw a tragic incident on Helipad Road, where three individuals lost their lives in a crash involving a scooter and a speeding Yamaha bike. The victims include Shruti Ondakudari (32), a dental college lecturer, Rajani Ondakudari (34), and Abhishek Dhotri (20), a software engineer. The accident occurred when two women on a scooter crossed the divider and collided with the bike. One woman died at the scene, while the other two passed away en route to the hospital.
In Mangaluru, two young men, Chetan (24) and Kasinath (17), tragically lost their lives when they lost control of their motorcycle in the Yeyyadi area on the outskirts of the city. The accident was captured on CCTV footage.
